Day 136

Some russian girl started to work in the hostel. She is not a legal resident but said she is in the process of becoming one.she arrived alone a year ago on tourist visa and later applied for work visa, nothing asked from employer, filled out documents and paid about 200usd. She is legally working here with legal SSN. Or she’s lying? :D
My employer texted me that I can work from home today, yeah baby! So I did. He saud I could drive ti tge office and pick up my check. Meh.
Hostel owner offered me  job in the lobby.  At least for a few days to let a guy take couple days off as he has been working every night for a month. Had a quick training, a couple beers and then watched drifting live stream from California – I wanted to go there badly but I couldnt ask another week off at work.
Have to be awake to prepare me for tomorrow nightshift. South beach is packed, traffic jams on every street, christmas girls (Ho ho ho!) on heels everywhere, they look ugly to me with all their skinny dresses and fake diamonds and makeup. Seriously I adore every girl that wears sneakers or flipflops or anything but heels. This fatty probably was too tired and took them heels off before going home..

Getting sleepy so how do I keep myself awake? Brought my car and started fixing some stuff. Went to sleep at 5am.

Day 135

3rd day and Im getting tired of the commuting to the office, the sudden traffic jams on the highway are crazy.
I always wondered how Miami is so clean that cars never get dirty.  I guess i found one of rhe reasons – there is a special cleaning truck washing the streets om the morning and collecting dust.

image

Still its kinda weird. Its raining daily and my car even never had windshield washer fluid. In my country its an instant disaster if it rains and cars get covered in mud and dirt.
Wanted to go to track day at Palm Beach International Raceway, but got off work too late.
Still drinking 7eleven coffee every day, its freakin delicious the way i make! (Dark roast coffee + vanilla cappuchino + chilly french vanilla to cool down + half&half creamer)

Day 134

There I am, having a routine job and commuting almost an hour each way.
Changed my car keyring – present from the cute Taiwanese girl..

image

Work is boring. Hostel owner keeps asking me about my work and wants me to work for him but not sure what. And I also understand he is not willing to pay the money get from my current employer.
Everyday some crazy americans come in hostel to just talk something weird. Im always running inside to save the naive asian chick from being abused :D
Did a quick visit to vape shop and sushi bar as I hadnt been there a while..
Btw the princesses of Taiwan reminded me of a thing I dislike about the Beach… they were surprised that all girls wear high heels. Let me add that they also expose their asses like prostitutes. In many cases its not far from truth. Reminds me of one quick cigarette talk with a businessman in Downtown Fort Lauderdale when I was moving to Miami 4 months ago, he said – you really don’t want to be there chasing those fake b**ches. Indeed it disgusts me. But then again I would never meet the many people Ive met here from all over the world.

Day 133

Was raining all night I guess as streets were flooded. Took the girls from Taiwan to airport. Another sad goodbye :/
Traveling makes me a nicer person, I cant deny it, everytime I meet someone in Miami I spend my time and money to make their journey fuldilled and show around, even if I see them for the last time. Seeing different cultures helps getting rid of negative thoughts and learn the positive.
Went to the new office.

image

As of now I will be spending each day at the office and spending couple hours a day commuting. Its fun and plenty of adrenalin rush on the highway but the engine will probablt die fast or I will lose my license as I am already doing couple drifts here and there on the streets.
In the evening spent couple hours installing music box for the hostel. Left the emergency blinkers on so my car is not towed and it drained the battery. Quick advice – stopped a taxi, they do jump starts for 10 usd.
Parked my car on 24th street. I heard it’s going to be wild tide tomorrow, hopefully my car will not go under water :/

Day 132

Was supposed to be the first day at the office but employer postponed for tomorrow. Again I worked just for an hour or so. But I did work on my own pics a bit. Im almost finished just need to write an article – the next event is in two days so I’m terribly late. Talked to a friend in the car club about potential events and promotion of his car and my website. I need to work on that more, it is one of the main reasons I wanted to come to USA for.
I really need to work more on my life and career. At 30 ot is getting harder but also much more important so when I look back at my life I have no regrets. So far I have just one big regret – dumping the best girlfriend I had a couple years ago so I just wrote her a message to say thanks for being with me almost 5 years while I was a total jerk.
I need to take bigger risks and responsibilities and work harder. But at the same time I have to do my job to pay the bills. Hard to find balance.
Anyway I didnt feel like having a lot of time to meet the chicks from Taiwan as I showed them quite a bit around in 2 days and just cant get too close, everyone is leaving Miami sooner or later and it gets sad. But I still met them while I was cruising the streets – I actually wanted to met the bulgarian girl but she was quite busy at work. Parked my car near Freehand and chilled outside the hostel with the owner. Also met the owner of Caffe di Mauro where I work sometimes, he came here to meet the lithuanian girl working at the hostel. Finally Miami gets small lol.
Drinking with the owner and his friends

One thing that is very different in Miami and USA is that most problems and arguments are resolved with police. if there are problems with any customers, people call police. Like one weird girl ( oh ive lost the definition of weird, americans are generally crazy) she was tjrown out yesterday from here by police. Yeah cop cars took all parking spots so I had to park elsewhere. So today she came back and the owner just instantly called police. Thats how people deal with problems in USA because if you touch anyone you can go to jail fast.
After few beers just went to sleep.

Day 131

We planned to go to the beach with the Taiwan girls but they woke up late but I had to  keep my car off the streets. Girls woke up and went to Aventura mall, I went to pick them up from there to continue to the beach.

image

We went to south point and arrived there just at sunset so no swimming as the waves and tide looked too dangerous.

image

south pointe miami beach

We went to have dinner at Hiros Sushi Express and some coffee and then home. Working week starts tomorrow.

Day 130

Went to BMW junkyard to pick up some parts. Hostel owner called me for help, we drove to Costco and Aventura to pick up stuff for the bar.
It was raining but still my road back to South beach was nice, I always love to drive on the A1A road.

image

Went to Publix again to fix some things.  Again what a view from the roof!

image

Security guy came up and asked if I mind moving somewhere else. I disagreed. Spent my 2 hours on roof fixing radio and some stuff..
The gay guy I met 2 days ago texted me that he and his 2 guest girls from Taiwan go to Twist club(gay club). I told him I can drop them off at the club, I wanted to meet the girls. So thats what we did. they really wanted me to join them in the club. So just for fun I agreed that I will go change clothes and go to club. It took me an hour to find parking around the club and by that time the girls were drunk and headed home and I just met them on the street. They didn’t feel like sleeping so I took them on tour to Downtown, Brickell and Key Biscayne. I needed to get out of South Beach too.

image

It was fun night, I brought them back just before 5am.

image

One of them is real beauty, look at that hair :D
image

Just before me some black homeless dude went inside hostel lobby and wanted to make coffee as he was living there. Wtf where do these homeless guys lose their shame and gain aggression.
The gay guy texted me that he likes me, oh god…

Day 129

Parked in residential area and went back to hostel to work a little. When I Went to pick up my car on my way it started raining so bad, just terrible. I stood under some roof for a while but then remembered that my car might get in floods because it was getting even worse. So I ran to the car. It was rhe run for life marathon lol, the streets were starting to flood. Thank god my car was just 10cm in water so I could safely drive away.

image

I drove to Publix store on 5th and Alton to restore rhe headlights for car.
After rain it wss really beautiful view from that building.

image

Day 128

Drove to 4th street Miami Beach Marina. They have free parking for visitors. Worked for an hour but it got too hot. Got back to South Beach, found a parking spot, stepped out of car and realized I had left my ecig on the table in marina. So what drove back to the marina and found my cigarette. Lucky. Worked a bit on my car. Work didn’t go so well. So I decided to treat myself and went to La Sandwicherie

image

Day 127

Work didnt go well. As always :)
I had planned to go with the bulgarian girl to Sunny Isles, but she didn’t come as she was totally out of mood and didn’t want to talk about it. Might be smth with her bf.
I spent my day cruising around. I thought it would be easy to work somewhere outside the city but the heat is crazy especially when it rains. It’s like sauna, and the laptop if sits on the lap, well..
Some older guy came out and started talking to me and invited me inside so I could use his wifi etc.. a couple hours later he accidentally (or on purpose) said that he’s gay. Oops :)

image

hot and lazy in miami

Had scheduled a bbq party in the evening with girls at house of one of them but they switched locations and I had to wait until until the girl’s boyfriend went to work as he is crazy jealous. It was in North Bay Village. Parking was a nightmare. Like half an hour nightmare. And then there is security, I had to register to enter the building. Geez, security is good but in USA people are taking this way too far. And the girl at reception went away and called the boyfriend first if he is expecting visitors. Needless to say the girl spent an hour arguing over the phone. Bummer. But everything was ok then.
The place is nice, you can see the whole Miami from the balcony, its a bit far though. Since it is an island, it is absolute silence on the balcony. I am not so fond of silence I think..
